Lovely Lilies I took a glimpse into the future And saw a decaying love bloom. I spotted a chap on one knee Waiting for "his own" to sing with glee. She hid her face between her rough hands Slowly succumbing to despair. Although he knew not of her past, He believed her fading heart would last. Pleasant wedding bells chime on and on, But ears only hear Death's harsh toll. See the weeping boy;think him silly, Because she was a surprise lily.
