Mornings: Part 1 (1942) I watched as the sun came over the horizon. I had a horrible nights sleep due to the sound of constant gunfire and shelling in the distance. Most of the members of the company slept well after a 20 mile trek through the sahara. We were in a position anyone would hate to be in. We were in the desert with no transport...
