The Guardian "What are you gonna name him, Johnny?" "Mommy, it's silly." Johnny looked at the teddy bear in his hands. His fur color was cream and was very soft. His blue button eyes were looking at Johhny. His inner ears, palms of his hands, under his feet and around his mouth was reddish brown. His blue clothing was in match with his eyes and has a big pocket with a zipper on his stomach. His giant pocket was colored with orange and green stripes. Johnny touched the bears brown plastic nose with his short nails. "I mean... He doesn't have a magic sword. He can't breath fire either! How is he going to protect me when I'm sleeping?" Johnnys mother smiled while looking at his 4 years old son, "Then why do you want him?" Jonny frowned, "You know why, mom! My best friend Henry told me that his teddy bear protects him from the scary monsters hiding in the dark!" "I told you Johnny, there are no monsters in your room. They were just clothes! Your eyes deceive you when its dark. It happens to everyone!" Johnny turned his back to his mom. He didn't know why his mother doesn't believe in what he says. He signed and looked at the teddy bears blue eyes. "I want him mommy." His mother smiled. They were in the toy shop like 30 minutes or more, looking for a teddy bear. "Then, whats his name?" Johnny pulled the bears right ear. He surely didn't like the teddy bear he's gonna buy. "I'm gonna call him The Guardian." :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: He sat The Guardian on his table and put his favourite toys in front of The Guardian. "Look Guardian, you're new here and you have to learn the rules. You're not gonna get mad at me if I don't play with you 'cause I always play with my favourite toys! I want you to meet them." He pointed one of his toys to Guardian, "Look, his name is Mister Laser, this is Princess Star, Nightblade, Gary Mission, Lord Strassworth and lastly and my favourite, Hellbender." He was smiling when he introduced his favourites. Everyone of them were fighters with super powers and weapons. They were brand new, colorful, electronic and everyone of them had a cartoon about them. Johnny looked at Guardian and frowned. Guardian was boring, silly and looking very old. He didn't like him at all. "Meeting is over, everyone!" He grabbed his favourite toys and left the Guardian at his empty room. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: He held Guardian tightly. He was checking everycorner of his room but there were no monsters... Yet. "Goodnight honey." "Goodnight mommy." His mother turned the lights off and clised the door behind her. "Okay, Guardian. It's your turn now. Guard me when I'm sleeping." He checked his room again and closed his eyes. He doesn't like The Guardian but he was trusting him somehow. Johnny were right. There were monsters coming out of darkness of his room, trying to scare him. After he slept, mosters were leaving their hiding place and making him see nightmares. Whenever he wakes up from his nightmares at night, he was seeing those shadowy monsters but couldn't do anything but scream 'till his mother came and turned up the lights. It was horibble to sleep everyday and he couldn't sleep well because of this. Monsters were still coming if he sleeps with his parents or stayed in his friends houses. Some of his friends told him that they see the monsters too but the majority of his friends didn't believe in him. The teddy bear, The Guardian, was his only hope. Fortunately he made the right choice. After he slept, the monsters started to come out. They came nearer and nearer till they saw the teddy bear in Johnnys arms. "Boss, what are we gonna do? He bought one!" One of the big monsters came nearer Johnny and glanced at the teddy bear. "He looks silly. I don't he's one of them, don't mind him, attack!" When they took one step closer to the child, The Guardian started shining. "He's one of them! Retreat!" A ray of light came out from the teddy bear and fell right in front of the monsters. A human figure started to shape from the light. "I'm looking silly? I wouldn't love to look like you." Human shaped appeared before them was clear now. He had cream hair and blue eyes just like the Guardian. He looked like he's in the age of 24. He had a fanny pack colored with orange and green stripes, hung on his hips. He had blue clothes and a blue bandana around this forehead. "My name is The Guardian and I'm here to protect little Johnny from your filthy hands." Boss of the shadow monsters looked at Guardians left cheek. There was a black tattoo of a teddy bear head and a giant bear claw. There was a black giant bear claw tattoo on his necks left side too. "So, you're a bear type plush toy." Boss of the monsters looked to the others, "Stay away from his hands. Bear types are not that strong." Guardian smiled, "Are not that strong? Well, I'm not a lion type, that's sure but I don't recommend to underestimate me." Guardians right hand turned into a giant black claw. "I won't go easy on you guys." He slashed three of them with his claw while smiling. ::::::::::::::::::::::: After he destroyed them, he kneeled down and pet Johnny's head with his hands. "I know you hate me but you can trust me little one. It's my duty to guard and care for you from the things invisible to your parents..." Guardian checked the dark corners of Johnnys room. There were no monsters left. "Do you want to know where those come from, little fella? Those monsters comprise from your parents worries and fears. They come to hunt you because you are weak and not mature yet to defeat them." He smiled at Johhny. "That's why I'm here Johnny. I won't let them hurt you again. I will overcome your fears. Just let me stay near you." ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: When Johhny woke up, the shining rays of sun was already on his face. He straight himself up and looked at his surroundings. He wasn't woken up by the monsters last night. "Guardian?" He searched his sheets for him but Guardian was not there! He saw him when he got up from the bed. Guardian was sitting on the floor looking at the room. He was turned into a teddy bear again. Johnny amazement lasted for a second and he ran to Guardian. He hugged him tightly, "Thank you! Thank you Guardian! I knew you're gonna protect me!" His door is opened, "Good morning honey!" "Mommy mommy! You won't beliee what happened!" He left the Guardian on the floor and ran to his mothers arms, "What happened?" "Guardian guarded me all night long! He's alive mom, he's alive, I swear!" After Johhny and his mom left the room, Guardian was lying on the floor, looking at the door. Waiting for Johnny to return.
