The Girl Chapter 3 Boys P.O.V. The fact was, I felt sorry for her. I didn't know why she was there, or how, but she seemed like she needed some help and maybe a shoulder to cry on. Everyone needs someone like that. I smiled as the Girl stood up, the pile of clothes in her hands. She winced as a car with bright headlights passed by on the road. I chuckled and put a hand on her back to move her forward onto the road. We ran across the street, the umbrella over or heads, and right onto my road. My house was a one-story ranch with a basement. Slit rot odd for a big city, but it had a small yard and all the houses on our road looked exactly like it. It was just me, my mom, and my 8 year old sister. I had just gotten my drivers license so I was 16 and a half. I estimated that the girl was probably 15 or 16. Then I thought, I don't know her name. "Hey, I, um, didn't catch your name?" I stuttered. She stopped for a second like she had to hesitate to spill the piece of information. "Ava, Avalyn actually." She whispered and kept walking.
