The Diver & His Girlfriend A/N: Sorry I've been off for a long time, been really busy & I turned 16 a few days ago! xx Best 18th Birthday "Bye!" I shouted to my parents before shutting the front door and walking to my boyfriends car that was waiting outside the gates. "Happy Birthday babe!" my boyfriend Tom Daley said as I got in the car. We kissed and then Tom started the car and we drove to the Plymouth #life Centre. I'm a swimmer and Andy Banks trains me as well as the diving. When we got to the Plymouth #life Centre we walked hand in hand to the dry area where everyone was waiting for us. I opened the door and heard a loud chorus of "HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY MADDY!" before I got jumped on. "Ok guys, you can all get off me now!" I laughed and when they got off me I got the chance to look at who was here. All the divers were here; Tonia, Sarah, Chris, Jack, Sam, Matty and Dan. As I scanned the room I noticed two people missing. "Where is Ailis and Andy?" I asked. I saw Tom give a weird look to everyone before Tonia said, "There will be here in a minute." I looked at Tom and he just shrugged. Something was diffinatly going on but I decided not to push it. "Happy Birthday Madz!" I heard someone squeal. I turned around to see my best friend and swimming partner Ailis fly into my arms. Andy then turned up and after wishing me happy birthday said, "Time for your birthday present!" I turned out to be outside and when we walked outside we found a light blue Mini Convertible parked next to Tom's car. "Happy Birthday Maddy." Andy said handing me some car keys. I gasped, too shocked to say anything. "Its from all of us." Sarah said, laughing at my expression. "Oh my god, thank you so much!" I said. I had pasted my driving test a few weeks ago with flying colours. After thanking everyone for the car, I had 2 hours of training before Andy let me stop and I opened the cards and fanmail. In the cards from Ailis, Andy, Tonia, Sarah, Chris, Jack, Sam, Matty and Dan there was £50. I had about 100 letters and I managed to reply to them all. Before going home Tom gave me another present that was from his family and a little envelope that was from him. Since I had driven Tom's Mini a few times I drove myself home. Once I got home I opened the present from his family, it was a scrapbook full of pictures of Me, Tom, Ben, Will and Debbie. I had tears in my eyes but I didn't really cry until I opened Tom's gift, a heart shaped charm for my charm bracelet, it had '18' on one side. I turn it over and on the other side was written 'Love You! Tom xx' The birthday card Tom had given me was beautiful: a picture of him and me on the front with "Happy 18th Birthday to my beautiful girlfriend!" In the inside Tom has written a lovely message: "To Maddy, Happy 18th Birthday! Hope you have a wonderful day - you deserve it! Love you always and forever! Tom xx" I got ready for the evening. I was going out for dinner with the divers and my family. This was the best birthday ever!
