I Know I Don't Know You. Part 1 Introduction She was sitting and wondering when it became obsessive to think about him again. Every couple of minutes? Hours? When does looking at pictures of them become weird? Just after the first time? Corin was starting too think that she was crossing the line into weird and obsessive. She was usually so cool, calm and unaffected by #life. Almost like a zombie to any emotion. She had a simple #life, a job she had always wanted, a home that was all hers and no desire to change anything. She would be logical when it came to choices and could even stay calm in some of the biggest emotional stresses of #life. For example, when her mum died, she had more of a quiet exceptance than a break down. She saw it as the best possible outcome for her mums situation and decided that she was happy with it. She didn't really cry or scream or act manic. She just continued to live, day by day, night by night. When she divorced after 6 years of marriage she busied herself by sorting out the practicalities. Who got what? Where were they to go? And again, she never really got emotional. In her mind she had never had an overwhelming feeling of love for Preston. It was just a natural progression to marry the man she had been with for years. Of course she had cared about him, more than anything, but there was no...... Lust. She didn't no what it felt like to feel your eyes burning into someone's skin but you can't pull away. She never felt that electric feeling you get when you finally brush skin with someone you feel like you need. She was just comfortable and, to her knowledge, they were happy. But an unexpected revelation had changed all that and she just.... Moved on.... This is why the feeling of unease and the unknown had begun to creep over her lately. Her feelings for this new person in her #life had scared her. Who was he and why was he changing her? 1 Doing the usual checks on the house before she left, Corin was again wondering if what her friends say is true. 'Have you ever heard of OCD?' 'The house won't burn down if u leave one plug in for an hour while u pop to the shops' and they were prob right but she needed to do the small things that made her less anxious. He home was all hers and very precious to her. She had bought her house with the settlement money from her divorce. It was small, yes, but it was perfect. Not a candle out of place. She had filled the small spaces with eclectic one off pieces of furniture, large handmade blankets and small cute ornaments that, as Preston used to say 'served no bloody purpose what so ever'. The whole house smelled of flowers. Roses, lily of the valley, lavender. A beautiful bouquet that reflected the light and scented way of her new #life. A beautiful collection of vintage teapots took pride of place on the dresser in her kitchen. A mix of pastel flowers and vintage florals. They bought the outside in and made her feel closer to nature. Cupboards were packed with baking goodies. Tins of all shapes and sizes, cookie trays, different shaped chocolate moulds. A lavander, heart shapped wreath was hung on her door all year round and it made her smaile everytime she came to opening the door at the end of the day. Her home made her feel like a child. The smells and comforts of her mother mixed with the few sacred pieces she had added to make it completely personal to her. This is the way she had always wanted to live. This is the way Preston had always hated to live. Now, on a beautiful spring evenjng, she rushed down the path to her car and pulled away in a hurry, keen to not miss her first evening of her 'attracting the right clients' course. It was designed to expand her knowledge and try and increase her customer base for her interior design company. Any extra knowledge was a bonus and Corin had so little to do on an evening at the moment it seemed like a good choice. 2 Charlie had thought to himself that surely going on a course about encouraging new clients should be down to his boss. Why was he doing it? Earthier way, he has to sit through it and relay the information and hopefully he would get a bonus out of it if it worked. He pulled up to the drab building in his silver saxo. The car was on its last legs really but he haven't the time nor money to look for another vehicle. He parked up where ever was closest to the front door, incase he needed to make a swift exit, and let himself into reception. He was directed into room 5 by a woman who really needed a restyle. Her hair was a mess of rat tails that where in a serious need of a dye touch up. Her finger nails were un-painted and Charlie could see under the desk that her toes were no better, creeping out from over used and cheap sandals. His train of thought on the woman were interrupted when she was trying to tell him where to go. He wondered how many times she had said 'Mr Walker?' Before he finally realised. She must of felt uncomfortable because he feet shifted on view under her desk when she realised where he was fixated. Without so much as an embarrassed and apologetic look, Charlie took to his feet and made his way to the meeting room. As he entered, the smell of coffee and cheap biscuits hit him. Almost like a teachers staff lounge. He then realised that he may be a little under dressed. 70% of the attendees were female and looked like they had come straight from work. Skirt suits and tight fitting shirts. Not that he was complaining. He had come in his black jeans that taper to the ankle, with a fashionable turn up. AHis favourite t-shirt that was mis of tattoo type swallows and sacred hearts and a hoodie open but tied at the top via the cord that goes through the hood. He was wearing his canvas shoes and his hair was not quite done but not quite messy. He spotted a girl straight away. She was blonde, leggy with big tits. She look this course was going to be about but Charlie decided he would help her. 3 Corin thought it was quite funny watching this pathetic lad trying to sit next to the very obviously attractive woman in the room. The girl had spent 20 mins trying to eat an oat and raisin biscuit but she eventually gave up for whatever reason. Prob worried she would gain 3 stone. Evidently she managed to dodge him and this lad got stuck with the only seat left which was next toCorin. The first thing she noticed when he sat down was his smell. It was spicy but natural. For the first time ever, she got shivers down her neck. She ignored it and decided that she would try and avoid all conversation with this young lad. She could tell they had nothing in common. As the session rolled on the smell coming off of this 'boy' was starting to distract her more and more. She couldn't put her finger on the different scents within it. It was an aftershave but not a young aftershave. It was mixed with cigarette smoke. After all, he had popped out for one at every opportunity over the last hour. It was similar to the smell she remembered of her dad.His clothes were also intermingled. A clean smell of living at home. She started to wonder just how old he was. All of a sudden, the end of the session had come and she was packing up her things, wondering what it was she was supposed to of learned this evening. The boy pushed back his chair, flashed her a smile, put a prerolled cigarette in his mouth and left. Not a word or so much as a 'see you next week' Corin was very passionate about manners. Was he rude or not? 4. Great. Charlie had spent the whole session or lesson or whatever you call it trying to catch the eye of the dirty looking girl with the blonde hair. He had even gone out and smoked at the same time in the hope that he may strike up a meaning full conversation. She appeared to not even realise his blatant come on. In the end he got bored and gave up. It didn't help that he was sat next to a woman with no personality. A shell of a human who appeared to have a nasal problem because she kept taking in deep breathes through her nose... breathstrange.conwoman as he had no intention of sleeping with her.
