A Shattered Stone Chapter I I stood at the edge of the open field, the wind howling louder and louder. I looked over the fields worn out fence. Trees stood tall, leaves scattered on the branches, made of an emerald green colour. Just then, as out of nowhere a figure stood partially behind an old oak tree. "Hey, are you okay?" I shouted out. The figure stood still and did not seem to respond to my question. I began to climb over the fence. The wood cold and soft to the touch. I caught my jeans on the rusty barbwire, but easily unattached myself. As I began making my way over to the figure, I began to feel a sudden force trying to push me back. The wind began rushing around me, getting faster with every step I made closer. "What's happening?" I asked myself. The force was now pushing me back, my head now facing the ground to stop my eyes letting out constant tears from the wind. I stood my ground and tried to move faster against the wind. Then suddenly as I looked up the wind deceased, and I fell to the ground with full force. I was now on the ground full of mud and dirt that I had fallen onto. I wiped away the dirt from my eyes and looked towards the figure. A purple light began to shine brighter with every blink, the earth trembled and began shaking under me. The light flashed and banged as if fireworks had been set off. No sooner than it had started, the purple light, the wind, and the figure had disappeared in one quick flash. As I made my way over, now to an empty space I noticed a medium sized glow in the shape of a rock. It couldn't be, they where just stories grandma use to tell me. The shattered stone is real! "This is bad, really bad!" I shouted to myself. I just stood and stared unable to leave, but I had to go, I had to tell someone in the village, I turned back towards the field and ran back to the village. To be continued.
