No Time Left (Chapter 1) "Sir, wake up, sir...sir please wake up, we're closed." I awoke to find before me a lanky youth who looked like he was in high school. The tan walls, cold metal tables, and bright neon menu at the front told me I was at a fast food joint. The boy was getting aggravated by my lack of comprehension, "Sir, we are closed, you have to leave now." I grabbed my coat sitting beside me and left. When I came on the suburban street I tried to remember where I was.....nothing. I couldn't remember anything. I didn't know my name, my family, not even where I lived. All I could remember was martial arts...some sort of military training. Not knowing where I was, I blundered down the various streets, looking for nothing in particular to trigger my memory. Nothing. My mind was as blank as it was when I awoke. I found a convenience store a few miles from the restaurant and went it. I was greeted by the hum of an air conditioner, along with the suspicious glance from the clerk, deciding I was no threat, she went back to her book and paid me little attention. I walked down an aisle, luckily there was no one else there, as it was nearly midnight if the clock was accurate. I felt into all my pockets, I came out with a wallet, containing 50 dollars, a cell phone (no contacts), and a large Bowie knife. I bought some basic snack crackers from the store, considering I didn't know how long it had been since I had eaten, and I left, again aimlessly wandering the streets. All I knew was I had no memory, no allies, and above all, nowhere to go.
