CJ was kidnapped by a soldier from Soviet, Russia. Fred MacMillan, CJ's dad, and Karl Sanchez, his karate sensai and close family friend, tried to defend him with a couple of kitchen knives and a small revolver pistol, but that night they were murdered by the same soldier that kidnapped CJ.
