Elirios Alexis The dust swirled around me as I slowly took my gun out of its holster. "Be careful boys, she's got a gun" He laughed, sauntering forwards casually. His comrades followed him but their movements were stiff. More strained. "That's right Damon, I have a gun. I always knew you were clever" I retorted, smirking at him, challenging him to do something. He snarled and coiled back, his brown eyes turning to tiny slits in his face. "No one likes a smart arse Alexis. Isn't that right boys?" he asked, turning to look at his men when they didn't respond. "Yes sir" One of them spoke but I couldn't tell who as none of their mouths moved, they just stayed staring ahead with complete, utter focus. Except for one of them, who was looking at me curiously, like he was trying to figure me out. Oh well, he's just going to have to wonder, I thought as I took a quick step to my left to hide behind the large grey cement pillar. My hands shook as I pulled my tracking device from the back pocket of my cut-off shorts and pressed the 'on' button. "You can't run forever Alexis" He told me. I shivered. "You know, I think you're right Damon, but guess what? I can damn well try." "My, my, Lexie, you've turned into quite the capable young woman, haven't you?" He remarked, smiling the way a predator does before it pounces on its prey and rips their heart out.
