Dead End In Norvelt author: Jack Gantos This is a story of a young boy named Jack Gantos ,who is trying to find his place in the small poor town of Novelt, Kansas during the 50's. He is grounded for the summer for cutting downr his moms corn plants. During the summer he is aloud to works for a woman named Miss. Volker who writes the towns obituary. That is we're it begins. This sculpture is the main character of this story. He has brown curly hair. He has a weird thing with his nose which makes it bleeds when he is stressed. He likes to read only because he is ground and almost a crazy because he read all summer.
