Promises They swung their legs over his motorcycle and soaked in the growl of the engine. He kissed her forehead before placing his hand on the gear. The two set off for a meadow in the country side. Just like he had promised more than a year ago. The wind felt chilled against her bare skin and his leather jacket was ice. She squeezed her arms around his waist his feet lifted from the cement, and the road became theirs. Two hours before sundown they pulled to a trail off the beaten path. Pleading to find a field filled with wild flowers, free of bees and scattered in butterflies. She turned to the left and there it was. A field clustered with flowers and inspiration. "Stop stop!!" She shouted over the engine. He pulled off to the side and she hopped off. Her white sundress fluttering in the wind, like it had the first time he set his diamond shaped brown eyes upon her. "This perfect babe," she liked the symphony of his voice getting lost in her ear drums. She ran into the meadow while he grabbed a blanket for them flailing her arms back and forth. She spun around, the boho dress following the patterns of her twirls. "Darling," he called after her. She stopped and pushed her long motorcycle hair back and waited for him to catch up. Their bones were connected when he grabbed her hand, he made sure he held it tight. They spread the blanket into the field together , not letting their fingers part. He sat down cross legged and she followed sprawling herself laying her head on his lap. "I've been waiting for this," she looked up and he kissed her warm sun drenched lips. "I promised," he looked slyly like a prince does after rescuing repunzel from her tower. "And you kept it." He laughed and the two sat silently looking at what was left of the summer clouds.
