As She Fades Away She wears a mask upon her face. She hates those inevitable judgements. All she wants is to find a place. The smile is painted, It's just as fake as the makeup, It's to cover up and hide her soul that's tainted. She tells herself she's strong, That she's so much more than this, But she knows she's so wrong. They can't know. They can't comprehend. They can't stop the daggers that they throw. She's tired of fighting. She has tried for far too long, For she can't keep on delighting. Tears gush out of her tired eyes, Just as the blood pours out of her veins, She can't stand to say her goodbyes. She wants it to end, But she's too afraid. For death no one can mend. She has found no purpose here. Anything she does is futile. If she could just disappear. Would anyone care? Would anyone notice? It was too much for her to bear. Now she's gone, she's lost And she can't come back No matter what the cost.
