Settling The Dust The sun lowered itself beneath the horizon, giving way to a new light, a blue flare rebounding off every surface, accompanied by a siren. The residents of Kelford had become quite accustomed to this kind of night #life and paid it little or no attention as they passed by. Retreating into their homes. The vehicles flew past the many houses lining the streets as they made their way to their usual place. The Kelson home. The family tended to have rather loud and violent disputes, mainly between the mother, Carol and the daughter, Beth. The two were at each others throats when the police arrived, scattering their blue light along the walls of the building. "Yeh little bitch!" Carol shouted. "Screw you!" Beth screamed, "it's your fucking fault!" They were interrupted by an explosion behind them, where their house was. It had burst into flames. The two of them stopped for a few seconds to watch their home burning before clawing at each other once again. "It's your fault you weren't there!" Beth shrieked, making Carol growl at her. "If you weren't so busy shagging your boyfriend!" Carol shouted back. Beth's boyfriend stood to the side of them, shifting uneasily. Every time he tried to move away, Beth would scream until he moved back. Beth had been busy with him while their cooker overheated and caught fire. "Just another day in Kelford" he said to himself.
