Pumpkins Halloween I am a lonely pumpkin sat upon my shelf, All empty and hollow with my insides taken out. I used to live with all my friends in a field in the open air, But now I gaze with gouged out eyes through the window with despair, At children dressed as vampires, witches, ghosts and ghouls, Calling trick or treat to every expectant fool, Who waits behind their front doors with bags full of sweets. They should give them my scooped out flesh That no one else will eat !
