This evening's task, one close to my heart Was tweeting a hash tag, to make a start To get #shouting4tamsyn trending Across the bleak tweetscape And we did make it happen Others now know But the story is not what we did Come sit, rest, and listen I would like to take time A tale to tell at this point in time A young father, #life living Robbed of his senses so young His wife Tamsyn left alone 4 little folk in her care Some f****d up system We Brits call Welfare Designed to help those We all see in need To bring #life's basics Like warmth and some feed Designed with them in mind We Brits resolute unified But now it's not working The way we all thought abuse is now happening And the cloth we cut falls short The world's a cruel place Scarce funds have run out Our government stepped up And made good change But this one large faux-pas The welfare state change Has hit the wrong folk In exactly the wrong way I'm pi**ed, annoyed, frustrated today If you're a Brit and feel just and fair Read her story Understand the welfare Sign the petition, make that key change Defend those that need it, be British, be proud.
