The Shadow of Slenderman "Hey dude, have you noticed a guy wearing a suit, just near the forest near the school?" My friend, Dave asked me? "No, what's the time you normally see him?" My other friend Ted asked. "Hmm, round about 11:45." Dave responded. "Well, I'll look out for him when I can." About a week later, I saw Ted again and asked him about this mysterious suited man. "Hey Ted, did you see that weird suited up guy?" Ted then looked around in a shifty manner before responding, "Yeah man, it's fuckin' freaky. You should try and look out for the guy." So I decided to do just that. The next day, at 11:45, I looked towards the forest. It took a while but the I saw him, it was impossible to describe, other than what I've been told. "Jesus." I said under my breath. "Jason! What is the question to number 3?" I then realised I zoned out during class. "Er," I looked at the textbook. A question about various ecosystems. "A forest?" I said thinking it over for a second. "Correct." The teacher droned on about what habitats are ideal for what creatures. When the bell rang I couldn't help but feel a bit disturbed at this suited stranger. At lunch I went to find Ted. "Hey Ted, I saw that guy. You're not kidding, that is fucked up." He then signalled for me to go somewhere more private. "I'm thinking of going into the forest later tonight, are you going to join me?" Ted asked. Oh crap, do I really want to find this… random suited guy? I pondered what I should do, before reaching a conclusion. "Sure, I've got nothing better to do." "OK dude, come to my house at 100PM." Later that night I was at Ted's house and I knocked the door. About 30 seconds later Ted answered and pulled me inside. "OK, I read up on the Internet that there's a guy who resides in forests called Slenderman, and he wears a suit, like we noticed and he has no fuckin' face!" Ted said, visibly shaken. "Are you sure we should go in there looking for this guy?" I asked. I was honestly not sure and kind of wanted to go home. "Slenderman isn't a guy. He must be some sort of... Eldritch Abomination! But yeah! We're going after him Jason!" Ted responded. I was wondering whether Ted was going insane. All I wanted was to calm him down before he done something really stupid. I was contemplating slapping him in the face just to calm him down. "So, what time are we leaving to go in?" I asked. "I'd say 10:45." I glanced at my watch. 10:30 I was dreading this. We sat in an awkward silence for 15 minutes and then went off to the forest. I was thinking about who, or even WHAT we'd find. I was also feeling incredibly nervous. We approached the forest at 110 and I glanced in the forest. We walked in and walked around for a while and it was pitch black, "Hey Ted? Have you got a flashlight on you?" He fidgeted around in his bag. "Oh fuck! No, I forgot them." He then stopped and contemplated leaving to go get them. "Wait, you've got your phone don't you? I've got mine and a flashlight app for it." I got it out and looked at the battery, 94%, that should be alright. I started up the flashlight app and moved my phone around. The light worked surprisingly well. I looked at Ted and he brought his phone out, he started up the same app. "Alright. We're good to go." We wandered around aimlessly before I caught a glimpse of something from the corner of my eye. I quickly turned to what I saw and there was nothing there. I felt like I was going a bit crazy. "OH SHIT! JASON, GET OVER HERE NOW!" I then ran to Ted and he looked like he saw a ghost. "What is it?" He then collapsed. "Oh crap! Ted!" I dragged him to the entrance of the forest and continued. I decided to just gather myself and go in, it took me a few minutes to go in but I just walked in. I kept hearing things, unnatural things, but shook it off and tried finding whatever I came in for when I realised, I only came in because Ted convinced me to come in. I then decided to walk back to try and get Ted home. I got halfway there when I heard someone cry out in pain. I then ran to get to Ted but he wasn't there. Only a bit of blood. I noticed there was a trail of it so I, reluctantly, followed it. I followed it to beneath a tree. I looked up and saw Ted, disembowelled and impaled on it. I felt incredibly sick. I ran to the exit but I just got a sharp pain and fell to the ground and I looked up seeing a man wearing a suit. I looked at his face and there was nothing there. It was him. The Slenderman. That was the last thing I remember before blacking out.
