The Abyss part 64 I hated the dark. Even here, in her sexual desired bliss I was still afraid. "Who are you?" I called into the abyss around me. I could hear my voice echo and for a moment all was silent. "Who am I?" she purred, her breath was hot on my neck. "The question is not who I am, but what. I live on the dark, dirty side of things Laila. A world full of secrets, hidden desire, and shame. I feed upon it. It brings me to a place where I am lost in time, a place of dominance. A place of pleasure. For I am a brutal woman. Seeing the pained faces as they writhe under my touch and cry from the mockery of my words. My voice rakes like fingernails on a chalkboard in their mind. They shy away from their own disgrace and bend to my will." I could hear someone in the distance screaming, it was so soft and far away. Their voice drew me away from her. "Do not ignore me child,'' she hissed. "I have ways to get what I want." The room began to light up in small areas, candles flooded the floor. So many different colors and sizes. "I do not have the pleasures of ordinary creatures like you. I do not wake up looking for sunshine to dance on my window or watch for the wind blowing through the trees. I do not wish to see the animals or giggling children. My mind is closed to such grotesque things,'' she said. I could see her now, walking up the stairs in a long flowing black dress. The candles started to light as she went by them. This was something I didn't understand, I could sense magic. I was a faerie. But there was no sense of magic here. "What are you?" I asked her this time. She turned to me with a devilish grin plastered to her face, "that is the right question." "Are you feeling anxiety Laila? Sense the torment spewed through silent lips, indignity that hangs heavy and full of dark servitude. That, I grab it in my hands and suck it in. Hungry, but controlled. Pain and suffering enters my body through every pore. Nourishing me, feeding me. My senses are raised, sensitive to every touch, every moment, every expelled breath.. I am your worst nightmare and your best dream. The girl of every mans dream, the woman every woman wants to be. I am a succubus. Your mind becomes my playground when you sleep. A playground you will never leave without my permission,'' she replied. I could feel the ground below me shaking, small pebbles bounced on the stone slabs beneath my feet. Quickly I jumped out of the way, landing on my side a few feet away. The stones that were once below me had crumbled away, revealing nothing. A dark gaping mouth swallowed the floor and now it yawned open for me. "Fear," she laughed. "Trembling, shaking, the jolts across your skin. Do you feel it Laila? That icy feeling burning in you veins. Knowing that any second you could be gone. I want to tell you a story, here let me paint you a picture,'' she said. Slowly she sat down on the stone stairs and she looked at me, "close your eyes." I didn't want to, but I had no choice. They closed against my will. She took a deep breath and began her story, "I once had a woman almost like you here. I remember it like yesterday. I had the taste of blood left on my tongue as I jumped onto a large crate, making hardly any sound, might I remind you i've gotten better at it. I called to the human to come out and just let me have her. Instead she started screaming and ran, such an idiot. My mother had always told me not to play with my food so I wasn't going to take the time to chase her around this building. Quickly I leapt and landed solidly behind her, grabbing a handful of that beautiful brown hair. She begged and pleaded for me to just let her go, said she would do anything. I took upon the moment to look her over, nothing was of worth to me but her eyes. She didn't seem to understand what I wanted, so I told her I would spare her #life for her eyes. When I said that I kissed her, she tried pushing against me but it didn't work. I heard the sick popping of her sockets and her eyes pulled back into her head. Mine does the same but without all the extra mess you know. She screamed, almost choking, as they ripped through her head and out of her mouth. I lowered my eyes to her mouth and her eyes rolled into me, comforting themselves. I let my old gray ones fill her head. There was blood pouring down her face when she fell to the ground. She just stared up in horror as I walked away searching for my next victim."
