Nothing At All The thumping of my beating heart deafened my ears. The sounds from around me slowly came to a sudden halt. Nothing mattered anymore, as my vision blurred slightly. Numbness crept up my legs, slowly but surely. All adrenaline left my body completely, as if it was never to return. The silence and emptiness filled my heart and soul. Time seemed to have stopped, in an unpleasant manner. As her lips kissed yours from a distance, I thanked God for the numbness, guarding me from the pain that would creep into the chambers of my heart. Time seemed to have stopped in an unpleasant manner, but as her hand brushed against yours, I realized, Nothing was pleasant. Nothing at all.
