When They Came: Part 1 *Author's Note: This story isn't the best story for children. It's contains violent scenes. Please read with caution. Also this isn't the full #poem. It was written in three parts. * A feral gift once forgotten, Tried to unwrap itself. It unleashed itself upon the city, Spilling darkness everywhere. I was sitting in the light, When it all happened. All the clouds dissapeared, Leaving nothing but blue. The sky grew deeper, Turning itself into night. The stars and#moontwinkled, Then lost themselves, Forever more. Lights in houses turned on, Then they flickered and turned off. It seemed no light would stay on anymore Because of this darkness. A red#moonrose. It was the color of blood. It left us enough light to see right in front of ourselves, But only a couple of feet. That was when he stepped out... He was handsome but he wasn't right. He had the emerald green eyes. "Shikinah," he said. "My name is Shikinah. We have come here becuase we are tired Of the book that kept us bound. Now you shall pay the price!" He pulled up his hands In a position as if he cupped the blood moon. It grew brighter, so we could see deeper. "Now look," he whispered. The trees were dying, Turning to dry bark That you find on long dead trees. That was when everyone rushed outside.
