Shy. I really cannot help myself, I am as meek as a mouse, When some stranger makes eye contact, My mouth just clamps itself shut. With a voice like silence, I try to answer calmly, But when you look at me with that puzzled expression, I realise I will have to explain again- just a bit more loudly. My cheeks start burning rosy red, When you ask me to repeat myself instead, Why can't you simply see, I'm just shy. That's it. That's me.

I used to be very shy, but now I'm older I am just fine and shyness rarely bothers me. I am sure it will be the same for you. Remember also most eople are thinking of things from their point of view and are not actually taking much notice of you or any one else. Bless you for posting.

@ckahn yes indeed. Though my shyness only manifests in certain situations. It's weird, I'm ok talking to other strangers like waiters, or shop workers, but even when it's a bunch of people the missus knows but I don't, I tend to clam. Obviously a bigger thing than I thought. Well written piece. ðâ¤ðð
