Hearts understand in ways minds cannot.” This #quote by Lois Wilson, the wife of Bill Wilson (alcoholic and founder of AA), is an inspiration to all partners of alcoholics. My wife sadly used logic in her head putting it before her heart and left. How does this make me feel? Well, I'm probably better off on my own as people who fail to separate the illness of alcoholism and the person who is suffering and only look at the effect on themselves, maybe shouldn't be in a loving relationship, let alone a marriage. It is with great sadness that I have come to this conclusion. If my wife was half the women Lois Wilson was, she would be here with me to tell the tale of how we battled this misunderstood illness and came to love #life and one another again.
