Dead Mans Diary He was in his office as I entered that day, I remember it clearly. the man was facing away from the doorway as I walked in, even though I was sure he knew I was there. He turned around; he was very pale considering we were in the south of France. He came over to shake my hand. It was only then that I realised how tall he was;I swear he was nearly seven foot. He had to bend down to shake my hand, although I could tell he was disturbed by my presence. His voice seemed very high and squeaky for a man of his age and didn't seem to quite fit with his stature. His long tight fitting suit was impeccably clean and his tie was neatly done up. This was quite unusual considering it was around 85 degrees outside! Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere he was holding a fluorescent, orange envelope. He saw me staring at it and slipped it in his pocket. I thought nothing of it at the time. But that was before. He was a mysterious man. Didn't speak much, and always seemed to be on his own, no visitors entered or left the house. The small, red, triangular tattoo on his neck seemed to be permanently hidden by his collar. On the few occasions that it was exposed, it seemed to glow a deep, almost hypnotising red, and he got very agitated. The few, white wisps of hair he had left, stuck out in tufts haphazardly around his head. Although he was old his skin was perfect. There were no wrinkles on his skin. I remember thinking that he must use a hell of a lot of moisturiser. But that was not the case. Every night he would go out the house and look up at the stars. He would do this for ages, right outside my window, he didn't know I was there of course, I was to afraid that he might think I was spying on him. The old man couldn't have got much sleep, because I would always fall asleep before he came indoors. One night I remember very well, I was looking at the stars. They were beautiful. I always look for constellations in the stars. I've seen them so many times, I can pretty much name them all. When I looked down to see the old man, his cold #lifeless black eyes were staring right back. At me. Thanks for reading. please tell me if I should carry on with this, and leave comments about it
