There in the distance...

I see it, it is the second great light!

I pray to God, I don't die today.

Pitch black, waiting.

Shaking, slight panic, sweaty.
I open the door.
First step, second step.

Hard ground, yet soft landing,
like the bottom of the ocean.

Here in the silence I speak,
hoping that someone out there will hear me:

One small step for man,
One giant leap for mankind.

Fire in the darkness,
Turned nothing into a canvas.

A word in the silence.
Universe after eternal patience.
