Eyes wide open Trying to sleep with my eyes wide open I will get to sleep soon I’m hoping Why now am I suddenly not coping A thousand memories lay awake Ones which happened by mistake They say times the biggest healer but how long do I have to wait How long till I can lift this weight Temporary moments take hold of my past and let a happy feeling pass but the drinking was never going to last I decided to step it up and become the person I new I should be Wasn’t long before I fucked up again and my happiness was taken only by myself so much for being free Guilt from my betrayal eats at my soul the soul that took me so long to mend Im stronger now but I’m still broken on nights like these where I sleep with my eyes wide open

Half An Hour Hangover Lets go on a bender by Monday I will be five pounds slender It'll be more then just a weekender Who knows what on the agenda By Wednesday I may remember Thursday night lets just have a few Friday day I don't have a clue Strikes five I'm back in the pub ill go home Saturday if I haven't passed out in a club Sunday lets have a beer to save the regret Ill drink myself stupid so I can forget Stumbling around I don't want to sober up so I find something stronger to hold myself up A couple of lines later and I feel just fine Who know where I am or whats the time I start to crash, so pass the hash Drift into a temporary coma Some day one day I'll be sober But at the moment I'm living with a half an hour hangover
