I was reading my daily devotional when I encountered this beautiful prayer: Lord, Make me an instrument of Your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love, Where there is injury, pardon, Where there is doubt, faith, Where there is despair, hope, Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy. Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; It is pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are born to eternal #life. - The Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Love I speak with a heart that has been touched by love, and not just any love...true love! I've searched for it my entire #life. My heart hungered for it and thirsted for a flavor...for a drop. I have felt a pain whose ghosts lingers on in my head. It seemed so far away from me and unattainable but it was yet so near. I have lived a #life time thinking that it is only a mythological concept upon which legends and fiction were made. It seemed like an alien dream at times...a shadow that cannot be touched or felt. I almost gave the hope that it existed except in movies and in the eyes of the beholders from afar. But the truth be told, I was wrong and I am so glad I was, for I have found the treasure that many people spend a #life time searching for it and sometimes never even getting close to finding it. The thing is, most people don't know what it is and what it's #life...that thing they want so bad...that thing called 'love', true love. Most people confuse it with its evil twin...lust! Yes, indeed they look too similar at times especially to those who don't know the difference. (To be continued)

Rot It occurred to me that only when a fruit falls off, it rots after a while. A ripe fruit without the tree also rots when left with another that is already rotten. But, if a fruit is forever left in a tree as it has been written in many occasions about the tree of #life, it stays healthy and full of #life. The same goes for a Christian... A true believer and a follower of Christ The Lord can only stay alive and healthy in the spirit if he or she stayed bound to the tree of #life; i.e. Jesus Himself. Otherwise, if lift amongst the unrighteousness for a little while and unattached to The Lord, the spirit of that person dies out and he/ she becomes very much like all the sinful non-believers around him/her.

Imagination I often fly with the winds of imagination And my heart for a few moments believed That the love in movies with its great sensation Is real but that is how I let myself be deceived Here I was again, hurt and broken When in these moments of fascination I shivered and my inner peace was shaken But I only blame my foolish imagination My tears went by as he said to her, "I cannot imagine my #life without you"... Or when he said, "to me, you're like the air" And I wished it for a moment with me to be true! But for my current desires, I blame my imagination I let myself fly off in a fantasy And I lost my self confidence and appreciation For the things I have and simply for God's mercy

Saying 'Sorry' I wonder why it is hard for some people to say 'I'm sorry'! This kind of attitude is what causes one's hear to break. The truth is that I am one of those who have been disappointed and even heartbroken many times because of this multitude who refuse to say those simple little words "I'm sorry!" My dear lady friend, how many times were you hurt simply because the man you cared about so much refused to say those words? Or how many times were you let down by a friend or a family member who had been blinded by pride and wouldn't even utter them by mistake? Well, I was....many times! Guys, I address you just the same ... How many times were you heartbroken by others who wouldn't say those words to you in due time?! To speak for myself here, I have no problem saying them... I don't see them demising at all...on the contrary! I think I have gained the respect and trust of a lot of people because of that. So, whenever I have to, I would say them in a heartbeat! So, try it if you don't....and even you will feel better when you let go of your guilt that way.
