Insomnia So I just lay there on the bed, staring up at the white speckled ceiling. I was tired, but not. My mind was wide awake, but I knew I should be tired. I needed sleep. And I needed to get up at a decent time tomorrow. I spared another glance at the clock. It read 4:55 in bold, glowing red. Yeah, that was so not going to happen.

Untitled I couldn't sleep, and so I wrote. Til I had nothing else to say. I wrote and thought and day-dreamed the insomnia away.

Soldier Foolish little soldier, Always following orders. Listen to what daddy says, Do not disappoint him. Fighting for his cause, It's a vain and bloody vengeance. A child so loyal, but confused. Who else could you go to? Always the favorite son, Protecting his little brother He gave up his childhood To secure it for another. Never showing weakness, Prove the whole world wrong. Calm in every situation, Unless family's in danger.

Rebel Brave little soldier, not just following orders, destined for so much more. You value brain over brawn. And Listen to your rebel heart, But daddy just won't see it. Never the favorite son Blamed for the loss of one You ran away from family. Lost and so alone, You made a #life of your own. But that doesn't mean you never miss them.

Stories Left Untold If hotel rooms had voices, what secrets they could tell Of people who, for a short time, within their walls did dwell. Of vacationers or travelers from some far off place, Or people who leave without so much as a suitcase. I wonder what stories such a place could share Of love, of lies, of harships, and how #life just isn't fair. I'm sure the tales would number thousands, but sadly all are left unshown. Because hotel rooms are only rooms, and have no voices of their own.
