Destruction Destruction is what this society does best, War, famine, poverty, deforestation, pollution. Throughout history we have conquered, slaughtered and destroyed, We built empires on the misery and mistreatment of others. We destroyed forests, habitats, animals and homes. Yet we still build and build, developing the 'perfect' future. We want our kids and their kids to be happy, to live longer, to have the best, yet we destroy all hope of that. How can the future be happy when more than 80% of humanity lives in poverty now, why can't they be happy now? How can we stand by and watch while the ecosystem breaks down. How can we stand by and watch while the rich win and the poor die How can we stand by and watch the destruction we all cause. We don't want to take responsibility so we are blind. Maybe one day we'll get sick of the dark and open our eyes.
