Broken Together CHAPTER ONE What is that annoying sound? Please don’t tell me what it is. I’m not ready for this yet! I want more time. I slam my hand on my alarm clock. I peel my eyes open to see 5:30, in red, right in my face. Why must I wake up, so early? That dream gets cut off every morning by that stupid alarm. I really don’t need to be up for an hour, but my parents believe I should eat a proper breakfast. So, therefor I have to wake up an hour early so I’ll be ready for it. I throw my covers off of me and I am meet with a ball of cold air. Why does my dad wants the house to be so cold? I walk in to my bathroom and turn my shower on with the hot water on full blast. I step in and let it beat down on my back. While in my shower I can’t shake Anthony from my mind. He has deep emerald eyes with brown hair that falls straight and it skims the top of his eyes. I shook my head trying to get him out. “Katherine Force! You will use all of the hot water!” My mom yelled. Rolling my eyes I get out and do my hair. When it is straightened to perfection, i go and get dressed in my hollister short-shorts with a sky blue v-neck that says American Eagle. There is a knock on my door. I walk out of my closet and open it. “What do you want, Faith?” I asked with annoyance. “I want you to leave, so I can be an only child but that’s not going to happen.” Faith says with a smile. You can tell we are not related because she has dark brown eyes while mine are blue. They aren't a normal blue though. My eyes look as if I'm blind, but I'm not. Faith also has brown, naturally straight hair is a honey blonde with a golden shine to it. And it is far from naturally straight. "Actually, Faith you went be an only child there'll always be Nate." I said walking away. I make my way to Nate's room to make sure he is up. I swear sometimes I think he is the younger one, not me. For awhile I watch him sleep. I just don't see how he can sleep with mother constantly yelling at Faith and me. Finally I decided to wake him up. Of course, I can't just wake him up normally. I get a running start and jump on him. "Nate! Wake up! The house is-," I didn't get to finish because Nate had thrown me off. "Seriously, Ash! Can't you let me sleep or wake me up normally?" Nate said. I gave him a glare and then giggled. "That wouldn't be any fun. I mean just walking in here and saying 'Nate time to wake up' that would be very boring and I don't do boring" I said. He sighed and muttered something like, glad she isn't blood related. I walk downstairs and sat on a barstool my mom was too busy cooking to turn around. "Sorry, what are you doing today after school?" My mom asked. "Could you please call me, Ash like everyone else? I have gone by Ash and Ashley since I was 13. Anyways, I'm going to have to stay after school for cheerleading and choir practice." Explained. Every day we must plan on what we're doing. My parents like to know when, where and what we are doing every day. It really gets annoying. I mean I'm not going to go out and do something stupid. My mom sent a plate in front of me. I didn't bother looking at what I was eating. While I was eating Anthony popped into my head. This boys fake, but yet he's always there. "Ash!" Nate yelled in my ear. I jumped out of my seat. "Are you crazy? Why would you do that? I'm glad you aren't my blood." I said. Nate put his hand on his heart and pretended to be hurt. " Nate, don't worry about her. She isn't family, so leave her alone. Katherine doesn't belong with us." sitting next to Nate. "Faith! Ashley is your sister know matter what! I don't want to ever hear you say that ever again! You got that?" My mom yelled. I got up and put my plate in the sink, so I won't be around for the screaming match. I went into the living room and put on my black pumas. I grabbed my keys and phone and headed for the garage. "I'm leaving! Love you mom and dad!" I yelled leaving. On my way to school my dream is the only thing on my mind. During the dream it's is like I'm Veronica I feel everything she does. I feel the fear she has and the love she has and especially the love she has for Anthony. I pulled up to my parking spot defining new guy sitting on the solid black motorcycle. When I look at the boy I think if I wasn't in my car I would have fallen out of my seat. I can't believe who that is. That's Anthony.
