Weekend Of Travel We had an open house today. We are trying to sell our home so we can move back to England . We decided that we would take our littlen to the (sand) snow dunes , down at Yyteri beach , here in Finland. It is one of few, here but definitely the best. In the summer it is so pure, the sand just falls through ur fingers like dust. In the winter it us pure Innocence. Unable to identify where the sea begins, the closest the walking on water I'll ever be Black dots skater the beach , flying down hills. No other sound but serenity and screams of joy! Unfortunately our princess was unable to stay awake for the barely , 10 minute drive from our home . So we just took a stroll to the beach, managing to just catch the sunset , which may I add at 15:30 pm!!! It was a stunning sunset! I took some beautiful shots! After our Romantic sunset and walking on the sea we took a drive through the forest . If there were no sign posts , we would be in some serious do , does ! Again any time of year I love taking a wander through the forests here( so many ) the homes are so big, like in movies. And I love driving through the trees and for such a distance you find a home hiding , with not do over the top Christmas decorations. And a wooden log house ( cabin(?) my dream ! I love to dream. After this little tour we made our way home . It was a shame our munchkin dozed off. It is unlike her to sleep in the car, the car is usually excitement for her. But she was exhausted , bless her. Friday night , 8:30 pm we had to travel to the capital , Helsinki, to collect our friend. But a 3 hour car journey became 5 hours, due to the weather! The snow even though we are prepared here for the extreme weather know one can train you for the falling snow! Because if the thickness off it, it is near impossible to ignore and it doesn't fall downwards it comes straight at you with hypnotizing abilities So after we collected our friend we needed to take her to her home town which was another 2 hours away. From home to the airport our littlen was so tired but her curiosity got the better of her and she stayed awake the majority if it, watching street lights pass, car lights shine.and snow fall.and then when our friend and her bubba was in the car, another distraction , especially when one crys it woke the other and this was happening the whole way back After settling in a bit at our friends home we finally managed to lay down about 4 am Saturday . BUT We had to share a mattress with angel! Playtime !! Is what entered her mind! She usually sleeps in her own room and in a cot , that stops her roaming about . So you only have to imagine the mission we had then. We woke before midday to get things sorted for our friend , she had been out the country for 4 months so had a few bits she needed help with. My hubby took her food shopping and I played mother Teresa with 2 kids . One teething and one teething and crying insolubly for his mummy. But I managed as usual to work my magic. When we finally managed to leave there we had to travel another 2 hours home . Once we arrived, Sleep was the last thing on Angel's mind by then so she stayed up till 10:30 pm saturday night. so no wonder she couldn't keep her peeper open long ! She had traveled a lot and not slept a lot , my poor little precious. If we hadn't known it, we would never have been any the wiser people had been in our home. A few hours later the estate agent called. He told of an elderly couple and their interest in our home. That they live in a detached house in the same area, so location was defiantly not an issue for them . That they are looking to move from a detached to a terraced, they were very interested in ours . But the lady goes for knee surgery and so they will need to think about it . The estate agent will find out next week what they have decided. I already have a fair idea the answer to this . Our house has a huge spiral stair case!
