The Ring (part 1) I sat on the green garden chair, watching the clouds pass by. It was sunny today- the first time in a long, long time. Yet I didn't feel happy still. My mind was in other places. Places that it shouldn't be in. Like caves and mines, or holes and volcanos. It all started about a year ago, on my birthday. Through the letterbox flew a well packaged parcel- addressed to my name. Ripping open the tight bubble wrap, I found the compact present. A ring. I'm not the type of girl who likes rings, or anything girly as a matter of fact. No body of my family would have gotten that for me- they know that I hate that type of thing. However, the parcel had no letter or name on it. I just couldn't figure out who it was. Not thinking about it much, I loosely thew it into a little jewellery box , full of plastic from when I was younger. However, after a few nights I had forgotten of the ring. It hurt so I decided to roll over, however it seemed that wherever I went, the light beams would still hit me. In the end, I decided to trace the light to see where it was coming from. And when I found out, I could not believe my eyes. The golden light, it was coming from the ring- even though the lid of the box was closed. There was something very strange about this ring. It was almost like there was somebody controlling it... I tenderly picked it up with quivering fingers......fingers. This ring
