Coloring Book A sea foam pink creeps up into the morning sky Its bright colors radiate the atmosphere It gives us a sense of hope for a better day As you tilt your head farther back, The color dissolves into a lavender purple Producing a blanket upon us The hints of flashing neon orange before us Gives us a sense of pride But of course, behind our sky-high coloring book, Is the creeping and calming color of ocean blue Which reassures us, It will be a better day.

Unaware Her skin is pale Her lips are blue because her heart is cold Her eyes are stained red with distressed Not once has she blinked in years, Like they'd ever notice. Her body is frozen Her hair is matted, It's not like they'd ever notice. She stares into delirium While the rest are in oblivion to even her presents in #life.

Escape The man looks me in the eye And I quickly look away I had never thought There would ever come a day When I'm offering my soul I'm offering my heart Who knows if it's really a trap and I will fall apart? So I take a step back While I keep my head down I keep walking carefully And never make a sound But then there is a "creak" And he yanks his neck around To see where I'm going next And if I can be found I run into the woods I climb upon a tree I close my eyes and pray And then I count to three I slowly release my lids And feel upon my face A gash upon my lips And on my chin's base I feel the stinging of my blood And a trickle down my spin Will he ever find me on this cold#moonlit night? But he can smell the blood And he can smell the fear So i must run away And escape from here I take a leaping jump To let myself fall There is no time upon the tree for me to even crawl So I slip off my shoes And yet I run again Because who knows, This may be my last time As a human.
