The Secret Of Happiness
I don't know if I've ever been happy.
There have been times when I've felt emotions that have been so strong that they have overwhelmed me. I've been lost in many a moment and I've had instances where I've wanted to give everything else up and stay with a particular person or in a particular place. Is that happiness?
Maybe happiness is just being content with what you have? Being able to say things are alright. I like the things I have but I'm human so I always want more.
I can look at others and empathise with their misfortune. I can say to myself that things could be worse. They could also be much better. It seems easier to say that.
What do I need to be a happy man? More faith? Less imagination? Maybe this will make me happier? Writing these words. Sharing these thoughts. Allowing you to read them.
Maybe I should just be happy because at least I'm not you?
