So Here We Are Again... (Belfast Riots) This #poem/rant is based on the Northern Irish 2012 Riots over the taking down of the Union Jack from the flag pole at Belfast City Hall. Enjoy. So here we are again, After all the murder and pain, Back to square one, Rioting on the streets, Even the country towns are restless now, And for what, a flag? It may be symbolic, but not off freedom or union, Of the hatred, bigotry and aggression that nurses this country into a a shallow sleep of violent nightmares, 'No surrender'? This is true... The idiots, bigots, scumbags and filth of the populous will always rise for an overworked cause they no little about but say a lot about, And they will never surrender the right to speak freely their hand-me-down views and arguments. So they go to the streets to loot, plunder and pillage the places around them, And forget even the ridiculous cause they are fighting for, All over a flag, So here we are again... #belfastriots #union jack #belfastbigot

2012 (Get Ready) Get ready for it, It's about to come, Our time is nearly over, After this, we are done. Rivers of crimson, Ships sinking in quicksand, Fires that won't burn out, Disease spread across the land, But this is only the beginning, The seas with dry to dust, Skyscrapers will fall to their knees, Metal turned to rust. Conflict Pure rage in her eyes, Like little flames they shine bright, A dark red like blood.

(another) Death #poem Death takes no prisoners, It picks on the frail, old and helpless, It can happen anywhere, to anyone, over any period of time, It's a wall of darkness, which swallows up everyone who cannot outrun it, Eventually we all run out of energy and fall into the dark abyss, Some sooner than others. But when death comes, it is heavier than any tax, It sucks the air out of your lungs, And leaves you struggling for breath in an airtight chamber of #depression.
