Desire He sat cross-legged at his desk and nodded in agreement. He hadn't a clue what she had just said but the nod brought out the smile again, damn, he could feel his excitement growing and shifted slightly to cover it. Emma, had arrive moments before and sat on the edge of his desk, her dark hair and blue eyes mirror his looks but she had an innocence about her that completely disarmed him. She seemed completely unaware of the impact her short skirt, tight top and heels were having on him. 'So would you be able to fix it?' Her question shook him from his thoughts, what? What, needed fixing other than his need to hold her and get this lust out of his system? 'Um, yeah I need to see the problem first' ah the classic IT reply, that would work. Emma looked at Tony, she'd wondered if he was listening at all. Now, he was asking her to recreate the error this wasn't the plan she wanted to dump the problem and run, being near him made her nervous. She'd heard the stories about him and had no desire to give him even a hint that he might interest her. She leant across the desk toward his system 'look' He blinked, he knew she was saying something about the images on the screen but he couldn't focus. Her arm was inches from his face, her perfume and the smell of her hairspray mixed to a heady aroma. He licked his lips, oh he could just kiss her arm. He was vaguely aware of an error message appearing on his screen and the arm and aroma were removed from his immediate reach. He squinted at the screen trying to remember how it had appeared. She wasn't even his type, he liked blonde leggy girls, she was short and oh, he had to stop thinking of her he was getting aroused. 'Yeah, I see' he croaked at her. ' that's a simple fix, I'll do it this week and ' I'll never have to speak to you again he thought. 'Great' she smiled again, damn her, she slide off his desk and he thought for a moment he saw a flash of white. Emma, walked off up the department, completely unaware of the heads turning. Thank goodness that was over, he'd fix the issue and she was safely back at her desk.
Gone What if I told you to never come back? To be gone in an instant To hit the road jack? Would I still miss you like I do now you're gone? Would I sit here for hours Would I hum our love song? But I didn't you left me alone and afraid. For somebody better Now I feel betrayed. I wish I have told you to leave and be done Instead I stayed quiet Too scared to run. What if I'd left you here in our house Would you me leave you With less fight than a mouse?
Confusion I'm here again that awful place I feel the tears stream down my face. I've said goodbye and let you go You said you hated to hurt me so. Why can't I take that, let it be Why do you return like you belong to me. I can not see where we will end And I wish you were still my friend. So back into confusion I dive And yet again I feel alive.
Sides The afternoon was torturous, he snapped at people, checked his phone, tried to compose the opening paragraph of the letter, muttered under his breath and then repeated the process. How? He knew Tony was keen on her but..... The way his heart twisted thinking of them together made him close his eyes. 'James?' He rubbed his. Forehead and looks up. It was Julie one of Tony's friends. 'What!' Oh that wasn't good she shied away from him. 'I, I , I wondered if Tony was around?' James could feel tears building behind his eyes, not at work this wasn't happening. 'Sorry Julie, long day. Tony has a new bird and the way he's been crowing all morning I think he's spending the afternoon with her.' He wondered what Julie would make of that. 'Ah yes of course, I remember how could I have forgotten' James stared at her, she knew! She had just come down here to poke fun at him. She turned and walked away, James waited and then walked off to the gents. He locked himself in the cubicle and sat down. Immediately the visions of her texting him came flooding back, he could feel the reaction was the same and he wiped a tear away. It was nearly time to go to the pub, James knew that in just a few hours he would have to face her, in front of his friends and pretend she was just his mate and nothing more. He wasn't even sure she was that anymore. His phone vibrated. It was a message from Emma. 'Friends?'
