Pale face lined with tears Tears that draw little canals down your cheeks Little reflections of internal fears But tears can make a rainbow When the sun shines just right And tears can bloom a flower even in the night Maybe the sadness is a pen Drawing scars upon our skin And tears wash the ink away

This paper is my body and this pen is my thoughts I will let the pen write on my skin, engraving a picture And when the ink runs out My mind will be empty

Nothing But You Nothing But You In front of me lies a mirror That erases all of my fears With a single glance in glass Rimmed in a shiny brass It calms me, takes me away To a world, I want today My reflection smiles at me Makes my world seem happy Mirror me takes my hand, And pulls me up, so I stand, Tall and strong, along side Like companions in stride We walk a path to the light And everything feels so right But the illusions falls away And causes my world to sway Where the sun was, is darkness Where the sky was, is emptiness Mirror me is no longer there This feeling, I no longer share A demon stares from the mirror And leaves me only to hear The screaming, from inside And there's nowhere to hide The demon, there is me It took me to long to see The deception, oh so clear And everything that I fear Nothing but you, nothing but you It chants, loud and true I'm alone here, and afraid Of the monster, my own face

Morning Does Come It was dark And it was cold And every day spent alone It was empty And it got old Living #life all on my own But every night ends With every sunset There is a sun rise But morning did come And the sun was bright

If It Was That Simple It's not that simple Being happy isn't that simple Not being sad isn't just a decision You can try And it may work for a while But it will never leave And maybe it can be argued that you will get used to your situation and learn to be happy But is it truly happiness or is it just not sadness? Is it simply being numb? And honestly if being happy was that simple Wouldn't we all be happy? Because most of us are striving to be.
