I think love is more complex than people even dread to think. We say we love our mothers, children, husbands, wives, friends. But yet we obviously cannot love them in the same way. You would not love your husband like your best friend or vice versa. I like to imagine love as different shades of a spectrum. I imagine the spectrum not as being a scale of 'how much' love, but rather a spectrum of the different colours/shades/ways in which we love others. The English language only has one way of saying love yet some other cultures have a few different words conveying their love for someone else. I think that's why people get so confused about love. Because its never going to be something we can write down. Love is different to everybody.
