Legacy Chapter 1. I cant feel my legs again! Beeing paralyzed from the waist down is not a joke. I grab for a dirty redish sweater with crunched cheese doodles all over it. It is barly a fingerlenght away, i try to reach for it, but no use. I sit back against the wall in my bed, looking out of the window. It is raining, which was no suprise, because it is always raining. I dont mind, im used to it, makes me feel like home. Its time to start my day, so i do another attempt to reach for the sweater. Going the last fingerlenght gets me ended up on the floor! Looking up at the roof, with my head towards the concrete floor, i try to brush clean the sweater, with no use. Using my arms i manage to get up into a old chair by an even older table! Thought to get rid of it, but its made of wood wich are very uncommon these days. At the table is a picture, from when i was in the army. I feel like a old warrior, eventhough i just passed 25 and the war ended for 3 years ago today. I barly remember anything from it, as i was in a ambush, waking up in the hospital a month later, no memory and no feelings in my legs. Thats a good thing about year 3054, it can be fixed, for a price im not able to pay! Instead i takes a special shot, which fills my body with a mutated adrenaline that gives the nervesystem a boost, so im able to move my legs for a short period of time, depends on how active i am. It has other effects too, like i get stronger and faster. Made for military use, but copycats is out on the blackmarket for a cheaper price. I grab my walking stick and make my way to the bathroom to take this miracle shot. Hmm.. Im almost out, just for today. As i inject it, i feel my body awakens, and in minutes im able to move my toes, so i put away the stick. I take on a pair of dark pants and a black leather jacket, swallows a glass of a alcohol mixture, before going out the door. my small two room concrete appartment, a all in one with a bed and kitchen and a very small bathroom. Its not much, but its home.
