Under Your Nose! Lets play hide and seek With a reclining chair I've hidden it under your nose So you won't know it's there? It's your Christmas gift As you miss your old one so I got it in a sale, Bargain! the price was very low! They said it was flat packed So I thought it would be OK Slide it under the spare bed But turns out, there was no way? The box is huge and square Not what I thought at all It took me all my time To squeeze it up the hall? Up the stairs I struggled It weighed a blooming ton I'm glad that I decided We only needed one! Down into the bedroom I finally get it there That is when I realised It's too big? What a mare! Dragged it back up the landing To the small bedroom We use it as a kind of wardrobe Where our clothes are all strewn Lots of half full boxes From when we first moved in Stuck it in the corner Under the bed linen It seems to fit in nicely Like it was meant to be A recliner, hidden, under your nose I don't think that you will see? ©

Fragile #life can be so fragile Never know what to expect Don't wake expecting bad news When it comes your day is wrecked! Never think bad things will happen to someone that you know But that's not true, they do Bad news hits with such a blow! A routine operation One performed every day How can they not wake up again? Summer Sun At last I'm home from work And the sun is still about I think I'll sit and chillax With a glass of wine no doubt? A glass of wine, a comfy chair I sit and feel the heat The sun is shining down on me From my head down to my feet I have an added bonus Wimbledon's on the TV I've opened up the patio doors So Mr Murray I can see Here i sit and sip my wine Take in the summer sun Happy in the knowledge My days work is done I look Down at the patio To my horror all I can see Is lots and lots of weeds Looking back at me!l I bend and pull one out Then another, three or four OMG they're everywhere So I pull up some more I've started so I'll finish I can't leave them to grow I'll get another glass of wine And have another go? That was an hour ago I've filled the compost bin The bottle is now empty So I've started on the gin! At last I've nearly finished I have pulled with all my might All of the weeds are gone But it is now midnight Andy won his game The weeds are now clear But next time I need to chill It's down the pub with a beer? ©26/06/13 #poem #Wimbledon

Have A Ball! It makes me wonder as i lay Here in bed on this new day What's in store what lays ahead Once I rise from my bed I have a plan for the day But will it work out that way This morning I have had a text A cancellation whatever next My times now free to plan a new Where will I go, what will I do?
