Of Beauty Perhaps it is the amount of exposure we have to media and information in general that we find physical beauty to be an exhaustive topic these days. From television shows, to a myriad of magazines and journals, to advertisements and campaigns, the list is endless. And whether we admit this or not, the level of someone's physical beauty has become, one way or the other, the standard we put in our society. A certain study says that someone viewed as attractive is more likely to get a job, get noticed, rise up to a higher position, and the likes, than somebody whose physical appearance does not strike as much interest (by interest, I mean attraction). According to the study, beautiful appearance creates an assumption that these people bear more positive traits, including a higher level of intelligence. The human mind is so designed that it gets attracted to beauty. Beauty, in the first place, creates a feeling of admiration and pleasure. Humans, in retrospect, pair off with what they find beautiful due to the need to pass on good genes (DNA) and good health.
