Dog For One Day Dog for one Day I am a dog. So no I can't sing. But I endlessly watch the Human people go by, treading on the pavement with two whole feet! Simply amazing. I watch the teenagers pro longed arguments. I hear the sounds of their voices, chanting blurry words at each other as I cannot understand them from the inside of this prison. I see the old people slowly dragging their ancient soon to-be carcasses, along the street, going Christmas shopping or going home. And then I last watch the other ones. The free ones. The ones that can breathe the outside air for hours each day. Scurrying to sniff a bit of grass to mark their territory. I wish I had outside territory. Instead I just have a window to watch them clamber over the sweet moist grass. I wait for my owner to come home. * * * I hear the footsteps! It's human mum person!! I can't control my paws or my excitement as I claw over her, she looks happy to see me as usual! Out comes the lead.. Goodbye human people.. This was Dog for one Day
