The Girl Swept Out To Sea The last sound I hear from the surface is the loud hum of people talking, listening to their skin sizzle in the sun instead of my pleading cries for help. I am about to take my last breath. I scream and splash in the water, gurgled cries erupting from my throat, which is now almost completely filled with water. I suck in a breath of fresh air, just as a wave crashes ontop of me, holding me down in the murky sea, faint sounds of crashing waves and squawking seagulls just above my head. The pressure of the water holds me down, crushing my ribs and slowly dragging me down to the bottom of the ocean; my death place. It's peaceful here I think, as I slowly sink down into the silent black sea. No one will ever hear me speak again, I think. No one will ever see my face again. No one will ever touch me again. I am gone. And with that last thought my mind goes black as my body sinks, where it will be forever forgotten, my death a mystery to all those people who wouldn't bother helping the girl swept out to sea.
