I don't want to be a silly schoolgirl that would bat her eyelashes everytime you passed me by. But you say such beautiful words, but they are empty vessels of promises to be broken. They're very enticing and every syllable lures me into a dark abyss. You've sucked out the oxygen in my lungs unknowingly. Tell me the truth.

the great ocean of sadness I am unhappy. I am morose. I am blue. I am downcast. I am sorrowful. I am melancholic. I could probably write 10 volumes of what makes me sad; but if you asked me to write why I was sad, I would probably need 10 minutes to think. You see, to the naked eye, I am "perfectly okay", but maybe if you cared or asked the right questions, I am 'profusely depressed'. Maybe I am sad because I have no friends and no one would listen to me. Maybe I am sad because I most probably will not amount to anything. Maybe I am sad because I am trapped and I am tired of being a prisoner. Maybe I am sad because I can't even kill myself to make all the voices stop. This is it, and there is so much more. They often use sailing as a metaphor for #life. I am just rowing my boat, adjusting my sails, looking for some rest, some land, some happiness while I am in the great ocean of sadness.
