My Son, My Heart His heart is pure, a soul without sin. So happy and free, he laughs and grins. As a father who's lived less than true, I tried to raise him from my eyes view. I've seen the evil and been to some very dark places. I've battled my demons, staring into their eyes not letting them know my hart intensely races. I've been close to death and reached the edge of insanity. My heart and soul have been shattered by friends and family. The words "Trust No One", are bannered across my chest. The needle piercing my skin was nothing compared to the pain I was trying to lay to rest. But now my views have changed and I have a forgiving heart. It was God who saved me, he sent Jesus from a far. My son is now nine and I see his eyes changing. A once free spirit realizes #life can be crazy. He understands the pain that nearly drove me insane. It scares me to death to see him change. Did I do everything right? I can guarantee not. But every lesson I spoke to him was carefully thought. I knew he wouldn't be blind forever. The world is cruel and the devil is clever. I know his heart is strong and his soul is like mine. It may be a rough road but I know he will be fine. I pray he makes choices better than mine, this #life of sadness is not what I want him to find. He is my heart and soul, his love keeps me alive. I love you Lane through rain or shine. I will be here with you always even when not right by your side. Just speak softly and close your eyes, there you will find me always by your side!
