The Sword Of Destiny Chapter one I wake up with my head throbbing. It is supposed be a normal and a fine day, but it turns out to be a horrible one due to the exams. Yep, I am a student ( sickening, I know!) I am 17 so obviously I am in grade12. Me and my best friends, Dylan and Annabeth study in the same school, Sunrise english private school. The funny thing is that, my #life is so messy that even the school I am studying in, is peculiar. Only selected students are taken into our school, there is a blood test and the results tell us if we are eligible or not. I lay transfixed to my bed though I find my friends already in school uniform. Our dorm is pretty small, but big enough for the three of us. "Um..are you even gonna get ready?" Annabeth demands. " Oh yeah..by the way why are you both in your house uniforms??" I ask sleepily. " Dylan, I guess Luke is affected by amnesia!!" She says. Well, that's partially true as I keep forgetting things." Do you remember the announcement we had yesterday? Well I guess you don't .. But it said that we must be in our house uniforms for a special assembly ." She says impatiently. " Oh right I be ready in a minute!" I say though I don't remember the announcement part. Our school has 5 houses , water- blue clothes(duh!), glass- black and white clothes, Soil- red and yellow, Stones- gray clothes and coal- black clothes. Well I am in coal, so basically we take care of sports( the only thing I am good at!). Dylan is in soil they take care of the environment. Annabeth is in glass, they take of the rule making for the student council and stones take care of discipline. My least favorite house , Waters, take care of EDUCATIONAL stuff!! I take a quick shower, Dylan keeps telling me to take bath in cold water but of course I didn't pay heed to it! Well we are late as usual so we sprint to our classrooms. Our class is bit weird because there are only ten students in it, myself, Dylan, Annabeth, Leo, Louis, Hector, Dean, Gladys always roam together. " Hey, Luke. How do you do?" Leo asks me. " Yeah, good enough to bear the maths period" I reply. " We have a special assembly today right! Does anybody have any idea what the hell we are gonna do?" Gladys asks us. "Who cares about that! We have the creaking exams today !!" Louis says. I don't know why, but I shudder at the word 'exams'. At that moment the principal announces letting us know that we should be in the assembly ground right know. * The assembly t is filled with boys and girls of all classes. The stage has 5 tables with each containing a big white bowls making it impossible to see the contents of the bowls. "Silence!!!! I request the students of class 12-F to come up on stage" our principal Max announces. Now that is trouble. Usually if our class is called up stage it is for some punishment. I can bear two atom bombs on my head! EXAMS AND PUNISHMENT,oh please! There is total confusion. First the students whisper and then gradually involve into loud conversations. We climb on to the stage wondering what punishment we'll get this time. As we reach the stage Max us to follow him. He leads us into a room that I have never seen in six years. The room is so damn dark that the only visible thing is that the walls of the room are gray. " this may be rather surprising for you guys but.. You are gonna be recruited to a new world."our Vice principal Lauren says hurriedly. " Excuse me?!" Annabeth exclaims. "Yes my child, and that world has five factions..kind of like the jobs you do here. Dauntless they are army, Candor they are the judicial body. Erudite the intelligent ones . Amity the farmers and abnegation the political body. I have no time to explain so please do operate with me." She .says. All of us are visibly awed by this new piece of information. A NEW WORLD. A NEW LIFE.
