Amanda woke up and lay in bed for a minute,she could hear loud noises coming from the television,she knew someone was in the sitting room because the television was always turned off before her parents went to bed. She stood up and walked to the her door ,she opened it and stepped into the hallway. she put her sockless feet on the cold tiles sending a shiver down her back. As she walked to the sitting room the door opened and her little four year old brother came running out "Hi" he said as he ran by her. she stepped inside and sat on the couch with her dad. "Hi ya darling" he said as he hugged Her "good morning dad" she replied. Her brother ran back into the room carrying a toy police car that made siren sounds.As her little brother drove the little toy van around the wooden sitting room floor she glanced outside the window. two of her friends Charley and joe were walking up the driveway. She ran to her room to get changed and told her dad to answer the door.she ran down the hallway and into her room slamming the door shut. She heard the door bell and he dad answering it "Hello is Amanda here" said Charley "Yes she's getting changed you can come in if you want" joe walked in first followed by Charley they waited in the hallway for Amanda . Amanda came down the hallway and asked "where we going" Joe replied "we are going to play hide and seek in the woods ". Amanda opened her front door and let the boys exit the house first "bye" she yelled as she closed the door . Amanda,Joe and Charley had been walking up the road for about four or five minutes ,there was no longer a path at the side of the road instead they were walking on damp grass at the side of the road ,on the other side of them there was the woods but they couldn't get in as there was a high fence blocking them from entering.Only a few yards ahead of them Amanda spotted a gap in the fence . they took their chance and crawled threw the small gap. Joe volunteered to count first . Amanda and Charley ran Amanda began to climb a skinny tree . Charley .one in.
