The Long Lost (ch2) Chapter 2 - awakening Ashley awoke woth a start, afraid of wiat might happen next. But she was also curious. Curious of what might have cause the earth to fall beneath her. Curious of what might be under the earth. Ashley stood up, leaning against the thick tree trunk, thinking hard. She was sure she had had the same dream before, something told her that the dream she had just had was in fact real, not just a mere dream. Without a thought Ashley lokked down at her watch. It was there. On her wrist. Good. It was just a dream. Ashley made her way towards the river. It's surface glinted and glimmered in the sunlight, it looked almosy like a mirror. Ashley stared down at her reflection. She sighed. Deep down, she felt that what sue had just experienced was no dream at all, and that fact annoyed her a considerable amount. Turnong to the spot where she had fallen in her dream, Ashley stared wonderously. Had it been a dream after all? There was no proof of weak earth in the area. What was Ashley doing making so much fuss over what she thought to be a dream anyway? Something had caught Ashley's eye. Something shiny and jagged. That was definately not there when Ashley had arrived at the scenic, countryside spot.

The Long Lost (ch1) Chapter 1 - Lost In A Dream Ashley Elysa hopped stepping stone to stepping stone across the gently running river. This river was hers. Her very own. It was set in a landscape of valleys and abandoned fields, making it a tranquil, remote place. And that is exactly why Ashley loved. It was a place to be left alone. Somewhere where she could be left to think. Leaping onto the west bank, Ashley made extra sure not to slip on the smooth, water soaked rock beneah her. But being used the path she had just taken, Ashley did not slip, instead she crossed safely onto the bank and began to make her way across the dew covered grass. Ashley thought that dew covered grass made the whole place seem extra enchanted. She reached a large oak tree leaned up against a small on land cliff. She slumped up against it's great trunk in the shade. This was possibly her favourite place in the whole world. She sat still for a moment, trying to think about the day she had just had - but she found she was being to still and began to drift off into a dreamy sleep. When she awoke again there was a strip of glowing orange 'air' rising across the mountains in front of her. Standing up slowly, she began to become fearful. How long had she been asleep? What was the time? She looked down at her watch. It wasn't there. It should have been. She clearly remembered putting it on this morning. She scanned the horizon. Then, out of the dark, a glimmering, circular shape caught her eye. Her watch! How did it get over there? Ahsley left the shade of the tree and crossed the grass to her watch which lay in the grass. It was a good watch. With the brand of London Identity, the silvery case and black strap it made the perfect accessory. As Ashley reached her watch she felt something beneath her shake. Shake like a frightened animal. That was unusual - mother nature didn't make the ground randomly shake, did she? Suddenly the ground beneath her gave way.

This Is What War Is. The wind blew wild, The rain spat fierce, The cold bit hard, Inside I'm freezing, I've lost my best friend, And they've lost me. Many others are lost, The same as me, Lost in the gunfire, Blinded by hatred, Been eaten alive, By the terror. This is what war is.
