Something To Scratch Your Brain... It's been months since my last entry on Opuss (shameful, "tsk, tsk tsk...") I read this piece a while ago and was wondering if any of my fellow readers and writers could help me figure it out: "You invade this pristine world. Claiming it as your own simply by your presence... You slaughter innocent animals for their hides and their flesh... You devastate the landscape and gouge out the earth to build your monuments to vanity... And yet you call me the monster." I don't know where it's from or who it's by but I'm curious to find out who this "me" is. Clearly it must be referring the destructive activities caused by human beings, but what is it? (It was posted with a picture that looks like some kind of Minecraft character-well I think its from that game, I'm not really sure but if that helps at all?) Any thoughts?

Death Toll Over 500 rhinos killed this year with most of them being dehorned in my province. S.A's losing this battle. It's sad to think that so many remain blissfully unaware, not realizing how serious it is. It's their own country for pity's sake! We recently had our bank note designs changed. They now have Nelson Mandela on the one side and the big 5 on the other. It's going to be real blind moment when the animal on the back of the 10 Rand note no longer exists. At this rate, my children will not be able to see a rhino in the wild ...

Theirs And Mine I look at their brown tanned skin, Their bleach blonde hair. I look at their bright white teeth, Their faces so fair. I looked at their heavy eyelashed eyes, Their plump, soft lips. I look at their perfectly polished nails, Their flat tummy and narrow hips. I look at their long slender legs, Their sexy backsides. I look at their gorgeous bikined bodies, I look at mine and want to hide. I look at my Snow White skin, My dulling blonde hair. I look at my slightly skew teeth My skin freckled with tears. I look at my dark raccooned eyes, My lips slightly cracked. I look at my nails chomped short, My baby fat bulging but still in tact. I look at my vastly scarred legs, My bush-man bum. I look at my full-bodied costume, That never sees the sun. I cannot even begin to compare, With looks, with clothes, with make up and hair. But alas there is something that sets us apart, Not the beauty of my body but the beauty of my heart. I look at my heart filled with joy and content, Bursting with love, happiness and consent. I'm proud of who I am, What makes me. Thank you God, In your eyes I'm as perfect as can be!
