The Killing I ran and ran and ran, until I couldn't run anymore, for miles and miles and miles and hours and hours and hours. And the I thought I was safe. Then I thought I would be okay. Then I thought I would come out the same as I came in. I thought that nothing would change. But I was so, so wrong. I can still hear him screaming at me to run, but I couldn't move and then he managed to gather the strength to push me and my feet started running on their own. This is how it happened. "Hayley Manners, you have been charged with murder. Do you plead guilty or innocent?" The judge asked."Guilty." I sighed, hoping everyone would just believe me, lock me up in prison and get on with their lives. Of course I wasn't guilty but no-one would believe me if I said my best friend murdered my husband in the night and planted the evidence on me. That's just the way of #life. And, sure enough, here I am, one week later, with a #life of prison stretched out ahead of me. I sit on my bed quietly, when someone knocks on my door.
