Solar Energy Light.
Infallible; beautiful, surrounding light,
That is what you are.
You ward off the darkness around me 
And open my eyes to the world.
Guiding light, never straying,
You are my compass and my map,
My course is always true.
Everything seems so much more wondrous
When you are near.
Are you a star? Perhaps. 
Or are you an Angel, 
With a golden halo about your head?
You could be a constellation, you shine so brightly.
Even when we are parted,
Your light refracts and bends around me,
Enveloping me in its golden embrace. 
It is you that keeps me moving forwards,
Illuminating the route ahead,
Showing me which path to go down at the crossroads
And the new way to take when the old one is barred. 
When I tire and sleep threatens,
You dim your light so that I might rest,
But you do not extinguish your flame completely, 
You let it burn low, let it keep me safe and warm,
Until I wake again.
And then, I will open my eyes and be greeted,
By your resplendent beauty.
I will live for you and look forward to
Our days spent together.
And I will sit and marvel at you, 
How you do all of this so quietly,
So unassuming and patient.
Never quite knowing how spectacular you are. 
I will try my hardest, to put it into words,
But there are none that can convey, 
How much you mean to me. You are my sun in the sky during the day,
You are my#moonand stars at night, 
And I - I am a solar panel, 
Who only functions in your light.

A Single Star A single star fell from the sky, And showered light upon your eyes, For you were watching as it fell, And whispered it a soft farewell. Entranced as you were by the night, You marvelled at that surprising sight, And truth be told, you never knew, That when it fell, that star chose you. You shed a tear and held your breath, As the star fell to its death, But before it's light began to fade, To you it's greatest gift it gave. On each eyelash you caught that star, As it descended from afar, And now when day has hidden night, In your eyes that star shines bright.
